Welcome 2013!!!

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

I hope everyone had a wonderfully beautiful time last night. I know I did! I've always kept my new years eve festivities low key. It's very important to me to be able to spend welcoming the new year with my family. Call it tradition...and I'm one very traditional gal when it comes to family :)

I wouldn't have it any other way.

My sister Charlene found these makeshift new years party hats hidden within the wrapping of our fire cracker poppers! YAY! So festive...kind of garden gnome-like, but I LOVE it!

{Side Note} 
So long to 2012...it was a year of adjustments, big changes, losses & gains. New year's resolutions and hopes for 2013? I decided not to really give up or take away anything in my life...instead, I am determined to enhance the quality of my life- living simply with what I need, not what I just want. Giving much to others and forgetting self (and selfish ways). Yup, that'll do :)

Bringing Out the Trimmings

Christmas time is here!

The Christmas trimmings are out and ready to be put up for the holidays. I usually put up our tree and decorate it myself, (which I don't mind doing) but this year my sister Charlene is here to help out. So we made a little event out of it :)
{Love} All done...and it's BEAUTIFUL :)

We went out for a coffee break and lo and behold...my sister surprises me with a small pre-Christmas present. Dawwww....I love my sissy :)
{Love} She got me a retro pen & stylus for my Ipad Mini. YAY...
I guess she noticed how much I hate leaving fingerprints on my Ipad ;)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

The holidays have arrived at Disneyland!!! I'm so happy, hahaha!

My cousin Regina brought me and my sister in as her complimentary guests (she's completing the Disney college program this Fall and she's able to bring in a set number of guests before her program ends in January 2013). Also, this Disney day is my Christmas gift from my sister Charlene- all expenses paid! Yay, thanks sister dearest :)

It's been a while since I've been to Disneyland (last time was in January when my annual pass was about to expire). I was really excited to see all of the new stuff in California Adventure. So, we focused mainly on the new attractions. But first, we had to stop by Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe for some lunch!

Season's Speedings! I loved Cars Land! It's my new fave in California Adventure for sure :)


Mater's Junkyard Jamboree was pretty fun. This is Regina's most favorite ride in Cars Land and she insisted that we ride it first :)

Whoa, orange brightness alert! Hahaha, Cozy Cone Motel was so cool. Each "cone" building served food items with a cone theme- ice cream cones, pop-cone to name a few :)
{Love} We saw Lightning McQueen cruise down the street! What a rockstar...

All things Route 66 around here! Pretty cool because we road tripped it out on Route 66 through Arizona last summer...brings back memories :)

Luigi's Flying Tires! I was a bit curious as to how this ride is...as I was watching the people on it, the tire looked a bit difficult to maneuver. Either that or people weren't sure how to move it around. Let's see how we do on it ;)
{Side Note} Twinsies Regina? Hahaha :)

{Side Note} Okay...it took us a minute (or two) to figure out the ride, but we had it by the last half!

{Love} Woohoo! We figured it out! Fun stuff :)

Of course, as we were waiting in line, the ride had technical difficulties! We were already too far in and decided to just wait it out...for 45 more minutes...and we were in line for about an hour already. Sigh, thank goodness for games and apps on our phones ;)

As the race car pulled up in front of us, both Charlene and Regina said, "Green?!?!" Hahaha! Colorists :P Such a fun ride! Possible one of my top 5 fave rides at California Adventure :)



We ventured out of Cars Land for a bit (we were coming back later for dinner at Flo's Diner anyway).
In need of a coffee break, we headed towards Buena Vista Street for some...Starbucks! YAY, I know...Disneyland AND Starbucks in one place? This IS the most happiest place on earth ;)

On our way through Hollywood Land, we ran into two very popular celebs!

Hahahaha, ohhhh the faces on these photos! I'm always curious to see what other people do for the snapshot.

Hunger was making its way back in our bellies...so we made a bee line for Flo's Diner back in Cars Land. This restaurant was pretty darn cool! I loved the whole 60's vibe and the lights!

We finished up all we wanted to see in California Adventure and headed towards Disneyland in time to see the fireworks show! 

What a wonderful time I had with these two today. Thanks Regina for taking us in and thanks Charlene for treating me out the entire day!
