Life's Celebrations: An Anniversary

{Location: Old Town San Diego}
Last weekend, we celebrated with Charlene & Enrique for their 5th year anniversary (and going strong)! They invited all of us from their wedding party to come out and enjoy the day with them. Also, it was a great opportunity for all of us to get in that 'bonding time" with one another (hopefully next time, the entire wedding party can make it out).

{Fiesta de Reyes}

Couldn't resist them street tacos! Hah! Also....we got our hands on some free flour & corn tortillas inside Fiesta de Reyes court. So yummy with just a hint of butter on it. Did I mention they were free? Just be considerate and tip the ladies who make them :)

Pretty succulents in a wheel barrow...

This would be the slow motion wedding party strut scene :)

{Side Note}
This is Jen's first time in Old Town San Diego...and she loved it!

{Rockin' Baha Coastal Cantina in Old Town}

{Tidbit Fact}
Charlene & Enrique's first date was at Rockin Baja Cantina in Old Town. Awww...and here they both are (plus us) 5 years later.

I let my hair hang loose tonight with a scrumptious Kahlua Colada drink. My entree? It was called Tacos Chingones- Really Frikkin' Good Tacos....hilarious! For dessert? Kristine and I shared a Fried Ice Cream. YUMMS :)

Now for some post dinner photo ops!

I really wish the rest of the wedding party could have made it! That's okay, I'm sure there'll be more C & E celebrations to come :)

THANK YOU Charlene & Enrique for inviting us out to celebrate this special day with the both of you!

What a wonderful time we had in Old Town! Now peace out! :)

Family QT: Happy Are We

My cousin Armando is back in San Diego until mid-Summer. After that, he's going to be stationed in Japan for the next 4 years. So we're definitely going to try and make the most of his time with us here. Also, we've re-connected with our other cousin Arnold and we're just so happy that we're all together again. I've missed these two guys...it's been a long while since we've all had any quality time together.

{Side Note}
We all grew up together...so in many ways, these three are like our little brothers & sister.

It's Mia time!

{Love}
Awww, Mia's gummy gums are showing.

Apparently, Mia loves to pet Rexy and Rexy loves...to run away from Mia! Hahaha :)

Oh, she's fancy. Mia has her very own laptop to check her facebook.

{Love}
Okay, okay...so I posted a bit more pictures of Mia than I thought. Can you blame me?

QT With Friends: Tartine

{Location: Tartine Cafe in Coronado}
After a successful antiquing mission for wedding decor, we headed out for some lunch at Tartine Cafe in Coronado. We also met up with our other good friend Gerry!

{Love}
Mmmmm! My Ham & Brie sandwich and my Tiramisu cheesecake!

What a pleasant surprise! Gerry got me a little gift while he was on his trip in Washington...and another one gets added to my Starbucks city/state mug collection.

THANK YOU Gerry for my Starbucks mug!

Lunch was wonderful! We wanted to take some photo ops before leaving. It was SO crazy windy that day! This was the best we could do...without the hair getting all messed up :P

{Love}
I really love driving over the Coronado Bridge. That view!

{Tidbit Fact}
Up until I was about 14 years old, I thought the Coronado bridge was really called "The Big Blue Bridge." My dad always used to call it that when I was younger and I grew up calling it that.

QT With Friends: Lunch, Dinner & a Movie

{Location: Extraordinary Desserts, Downtown San Diego}
After visiting the winery, Charlene, Jen and I headed out for some lunch at Extraordinary Desserts in downtown (one of my favorite dessert places).

{Side Note}
I usually order the Passion Fruit Ricotta Torte for dessert, but they didn't have it today. So...second runner up was the Lemon Praline. Mmmm, 'twas enjoyable as well :)

{Location: Otay Ranch Town Center, Chula Vista}
Later that night, we met up with our VERY good friend Melody. Dinner was at California Pizza Kitchen, where we met up with Analyn and Francia. Afterwards, we all watched The Hunger Games!

It was our little farewell for Melody- she's moving to New York on the 31st of this month. I'll miss her SO much...but not to fret, we'll definitely visit each other! I sense an annual San Diego-New York trip tradition coming :)

{Side Note}
I haven't read the Hunger Games books yet. I figured it was better to watch it first and then read it later so that it would be that much more satisfying. I definitely had tons questions after the movie...so this'll make an interesting read! With that being said, I thought the movie was great...and the cast didn't annoy me ;)

Wedding Notes: Little Sneak Peeks

{Location: Bernardo Winery, San Diego}

Today, Charlene and I took another little visit to take photos of the ceremony and reception site. We wanted to gather enough photos of the place to help us out with what we need to get as far as decor and general set up of the place. But alas....there was a wedding that day and we couldn't really get in the area. So, we'll come back some other time. We decided to enjoy the rest of our time there anyway. Our friend Jen was in town for the weekend and we took her along with us!

This was all I could get on camera for today.

...at least the ceremony area was partially set up for us to see.

Time for frolic and play around the village instead :)
