A Weekend Affair Day 2

{Location: Orange, Newport Beach and Irvine, CA}

Day two of our weekend affair! We went to Old Town Orange and intended to eat at Rutabegorz, but they're closed on Sundays! Boo....so we headed over across the street to try the food at The Filling Station Cafe. It was pretty crowded so we figured the food must be good...and it sure was :)

{Love} Oh em gee-ness! That was a huge burger...but SO GOOD :)

After a hefty lunch, we decided to walk it off and look at some of the antique stores. This place is full of them! You know us...we can't say no to thrifting and antiquing...and of course we had to stop by my favorite antique store there! Country Roads :)

Newport Beach was our next stop. We tagged along on Charlene's errand at Fashion Island...she needed to buy something at Lush (some kind of dry bar shampoo?). The products there were cool and everything smelled so fresh and sweet, but I'm not really into that sort of thing...so I walked out empty handed.

We then went back to Irvine and Charlene took us to one of the plazas where a new Daiso store recently opened.

[Daiso Store]
I have never been, but from what I gather, it's like a Japanese version of 99 cent stores. Not to mention  this store has a bunch of super cute (and super quirky) merchandise! Everything in this store is priced at $1.50! I bought a bunch of random, but functional things...really I did ;)
--> Here's what I bought:
[Storage: Mini, nautical print insulated lunch bag//Brown hanging storage file//Green fruit container]
[Bath & Hygiene: Pink shampoo brush//Panda back loofah//Mini nail clipper]
[Snacks: Chococones//Caramel Corn]

{Side Note}
I can't wait to use the panda back loofah and the shampoo brush!

[Mochilato]
Next door to the Daiso Store was a cafe/bakery that sold gelato, mochi ice cream, shaved ice and pastries such as gelato filled cream puffs! SO GOOD.
[Small butter pecan gelato $3.75// Peaches n' cream mochi $1.50 each]

{Side Note}
For mochi ice cream, I personally like fruity flavored ones- strawberry, mango, peach and passion fruit! Not so wild about coconut, chocolate and espresso...
